c27697d6de perf tools: Record whether a dso has data
Add 'data.status' to record whether a dso has data (i.e. an object
file). This is used to avoid repeatedly creating the file name and
attempting to open a file that is not present.

8066be5fe7 perf script: Improve srcline display for BTS
Change the order of the output to put the srcline last.

It puts the branch 'from address' and 'to address' on the same line,
which is how it would be without the source line reference.

So it makes it consistent and much easier to read.

E.g. old format:

          4028fc main+0x2c (/bin/ls)
  /build/buildd/coreutils-8.20/src/ls.c:1269 =>           40d8a0 set_program_name+0x0 (/bin/ls)

new format:

          4028fc main+0x2c (/bin/ls) =>           40d8a0 set_program_name+0x0 (/bin/ls)
  /build/buildd/coreutils-8.20/src/ls.c:1269

deaff8b659 perf tools: Fix jump label always changing during tracing
Intel PT decoding walks the object code to reconstruct the trace. A
jump label change during tracing causes decoding errors.

The "Enable close-on-exec flag on perf file descriptor" patch caused
there to be always a jump label change.

It was found that using a per-cpu context instead of a per-thread
context for the probe of the close-on-exec feature, made the problem go
away.

eedd10f45b drm/i915: Simplify i915_gem_release_all_mmaps()
An object can only have an active gtt mapping if it is currently bound
into the global gtt. Therefore we can simply walk the list of all bound
objects and check the flag upon those for an active gtt mapping.

From commit 48018a57a8
Author: Paulo Zanoni <paulo.r.zanoni@intel.com>
Date: Fri Dec 13 15:22:31 2013 -0200

drm/i915: release the GTT mmaps when going into D3

Also note that the WARN is inappropriate for this function as GPU
activity is orthogonal to GTT mmap status. Rather it is the caller that
relies upon this condition and so it should assert that the GPU is idle
itself.

161f693460 iommu/vt-d: Fix issue in computing domain's iommu_snooping flag
IOMMU units may dynamically attached to/detached from domains,
so we should scan all active IOMMU units when computing iommu_snooping
flag for a domain instead of only scanning IOMMU units associated
with the domain.

Also check snooping and superpage capabilities when hot-adding DMAR units.

129ad28100 iommu/vt-d: Avoid freeing virtual machine domain in free_dmar_iommu()
Virtual machine domains are created by intel_iommu_domain_init() and
should be destroyed by intel_iommu_domain_destroy(). So avoid freeing
virtual machine domain data structure in free_dmar_iommu() when
doamin->iommu_count reaches zero, otherwise it may cause invalid
memory access because the IOMMU framework still holds references
to the domain structure.

2a46ddf77c iommu/vt-d: Fix possible invalid memory access caused by free_dmar_iommu()
Static identity and virtual machine domains may be cached in
iommu->domain_ids array after corresponding IOMMUs have been removed
from domain->iommu_bmp. So we should check domain->iommu_bmp before
decreasing domain->iommu_count in function free_dmar_iommu(), otherwise
it may cause free of inuse domain data structure.

44bde61428 iommu/vt-d: Allocate dynamic domain id for virtual domains only
Check the same domain id is allocated for si_domain on each IOMMU,
otherwise the IOTLB flush for si_domain will fail.

Now the rules to allocate and manage domain id are:
1) For normal and static identity domains, domain id is allocated
when creating domain structure. And this id will be written into
   context entry.
2) For virtual machine domain, a virtual id is allocated when creating
domain. And when binding virtual machine domain to an iommu, a real
domain id is allocated on demand and this domain id will be written
into context entry. So domain->id for virtual machine domain may be
different from the domain id written into context entry(used by
   hardware).

126ae9adc1 crypto: ccp - Base AXI DMA cache settings on device tree
The default cache operations for ARM64 were changed during 3.15.
To use coherent operations a "dma-coherent" device tree property
is required. If that property is not present in the device tree
node then the non-coherent operations are assigned for the device.

Add support to the ccp driver to assign the AXI DMA cache settings
based on whether the "dma-coherent" property is present in the device
node. If present, use settings that work with the caches. If not
present, use settings that do not look at the caches.

112dc53db1 ARM: mvebu: Add missing MDIO clock in Armada 375
In Armada 375 SoCs, the MDIO is handled by a separate orion-mdio driver,
despite the register is contained within the "LMS" block of the network

Therefore we need to add the clock to the MDIO devicetree to prevent the

instance, to be able to load the MDIO driver before the network driver.

61a7784efd power: twl4030_charger: detect battery presence prior to enabling charger
TWL4030's Battery Charger seems to be designed for non-hotpluggable
batteries.

If battery is not present in the system, BATSTS is always set with the
expectation that software will take actions to move to a required safe
state (could be power down or disable various charger paths).

It does not seem possible even by manipulating the edge detection
of the event (using BCIEDR2 register) to have a consistent hotplug
handling. This seems to be the result of BATSTS interrupt generated
when the thermistor of the battery pack is disconnected from the
dedicated ADIN1 pin. Clearing the status just results in the status
being regenerated by the monitoring ADC(MADC) and disabling the
edges of event just makes hotplug no longer function. The only
other option is to disable the detection of the MADC by disabling
BCIMFEN4::BATSTSMCHGEN (battery presence detector) - but then, we can
never again detect battery reconnection.

So, detect battery presence based on precharge(which is hardware
automatic state) or default main charger configuration at the time of
probe and enable charger logic only if battery was present.

d50314a6b0 arm64: Create non-empty ZONE_DMA when DRAM starts above 4GB
ZONE_DMA is created to allow 32-bit only devices to access memory in the
absence of an IOMMU. On systems where the memory starts above 4GB, it is
expected that some devices have a DMA offset hardwired to be able to
access the bottom of the memory. Linux currently supports DT bindings
for the DMA offsets but they are not (easily) available early during
boot.

This patch tries to guess a DMA offset and assumes that ZONE_DMA
corresponds to the 32-bit mask above the start of DRAM.

3252a646aa clocksource: exynos_mct: Only use 32-bits where possible
The MCT has a nice 64-bit counter. That means that we _can_ register
as a 64-bit clocksource and sched_clock. ...but that doesn't mean we
should.

The 64-bit counter is read by reading two 32-bit registers. That
means reading needs to be something like:
- Read upper half
- Read lower half
- Read upper half and confirm that it hasn't changed.

That wouldn't be terrible, but:
- THe MCT isn't very fast to access (hundreds of nanoseconds).
- The clocksource is queried _all the time_.

In total system profiles of real workloads on ChromeOS, we've seen
exynos_frc_read() taking 2% or more of CPU time even after optimizing
the 3 reads above to 2 (see below).

The MCT is clocked at ~24MHz on all known systems. That means that
the 32-bit half of the counter rolls over every ~178 seconds. This
inspired an optimization in ChromeOS to cache the upper half between
calls, moving 3 reads to 2. ...but we can do better! Having a 32-bit
timer that flips every 178 seconds is more than sufficient for Linux.
Let's just use the lower half of the MCT.

Times on 5420 to do 1000000 gettimeofday() calls from userspace:
* Original code:                      1323852 us
* ChromeOS cache upper half: 1173084 us
* ChromeOS + ldmia to optimize: 1045674 us
* Use lower 32-bit only (this code): 1014429 us

As you can see, the time used doesn't increase linearly with the
number of reads and we can make 64-bit work almost as fast as 32-bit
with a bit of assembly code. But since there's no real gain for
64-bit, let's go with the simplest and fastest implementation.

Note: with this change roughly half the time for gettimeofday() is
spent in exynos_frc_read(). The rest is timer / system call overhead.

Also note: this patch disables the use of the MCT on ARM64 systems
until we've sorted out how to make "cycles_t" always 32-bit. Really
ARM64 systems should be using arch timers anyway.
