Linux mainline fork with MSM8998 patches | https://mainline.space | Currently supported devices:
OnePlus 5/5T, Xiaomi Mi 6, F(x)tec Pro¹ (2019 QX1000 model) & Sony Xperia XZ Premium (UNTESTED!)
Similarly to bpftool/libbpf output, make selftests/bpf output succinct
per-item output line. Output is roughly as follows:
$ make
...
CLANG-LLC [test_maps] pyperf600.o
CLANG-LLC [test_maps] strobemeta.o
CLANG-LLC [test_maps] pyperf100.o
EXTRA-OBJ [test_progs] cgroup_helpers.o
EXTRA-OBJ [test_progs] trace_helpers.o
BINARY test_align
BINARY test_verifier_log
GEN-SKEL [test_progs] fexit_bpf2bpf.skel.h
GEN-SKEL [test_progs] test_global_data.skel.h
GEN-SKEL [test_progs] sendmsg6_prog.skel.h
...
To see the actual command invocation, verbose mode can be turned on with V=1
argument:
$ make V=1
... very verbose output ...

Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
