Linus Torvalds 9269d27e51 Updates to the tick/nohz code in this cycle:
- Micro-optimize tick_nohz_full_cpu()

  - Optimize idle exit tick restarts to be less eager

  - Optimize tick_nohz_dep_set_task() to only wake up
    a single CPU. This reduces IPIs and interruptions
    on nohz_full CPUs.

  - Optimize tick_nohz_dep_set_signal() in a similar
    fashion.

  - Skip IPIs in tick_nohz_kick_task() when trying
    to kick a non-running task.

  - Micro-optimize tick_nohz_task_switch() IRQ flags
    handling to reduce context switching costs.

  - Misc cleanups and fixes

Linux kernel
============

There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.

In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:

    https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/

There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.

Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
