Linux mainline fork with MSM8998 patches | https://mainline.space | Currently supported devices:
OnePlus 5/5T, Xiaomi Mi 6, F(x)tec Pro¹ (2019 QX1000 model) & Sony Xperia XZ Premium (UNTESTED!)
It is possible for all CPUs to miss the pending cpumask becoming clear, and then nobody resetting it, which will cause the lockup detector to stop working. It will eventually expire, but watchdog_smp_panic will avoid doing anything if the pending mask is clear and it will never be reset. Order the cpumask clear vs the subsequent test to close this race. Add an extra check for an empty pending mask when the watchdog fires and finds its bit still clear, to try to catch any other possible races or bugs here and keep the watchdog working. The extra test in arch_touch_nmi_watchdog is required to prevent the new warning from firing off. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
