The fortified version of strscpy ensures the following before vanilla strscpy is called: 1. There is no read overflow because we either size is smaller than src length or we shrink size to src length by calling fortified strnlen. 2. There is no write overflow because we either failed during compilation or at runtime by checking that size is smaller than dest size. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
