GDB produces the following warning when debugging kernels built with CONFIG_RELR: BFD: /android0/linux-next/vmlinux: unknown type [0x13] section `.relr.dyn' when loading a kernel built with CONFIG_RELR into GDB. It can also prevent debugging symbols using such relocations. Peter sugguests: [That flag] means that lld will use dynamic tags and section type numbers in the OS-specific range rather than the generic range. The kernel itself doesn't care about these numbers; it determines the location of the RELR section using symbols defined by a linker script. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
