When instantiating a tiled object on an L-shaped memory machine, we mark the object as unshrinkable to prevent the shrinker from trying to swap out the pages. We have to do this as we do not know the swizzling on the individual pages, and so the data will be scrambled across swap out/in. Not only do we need to move the object off the shrinker list, we need to mark the object with shrink_pin so that the counter is consistent across calls to madvise. v2: in the madvise ioctl we need to check if the object is currently shrinkable/purgeable, not if the object type supports shrinking Fixes: |

Linux kernel

There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
