c6dbf7aaa4 net/ipv6: fix addrconf_sysctl_addr_gen_mode
addrconf_sysctl_addr_gen_mode() has multiple problems. First, it ignores
the errors returned by proc_dointvec().

addrconf_sysctl_addr_gen_mode() calls proc_dointvec() directly, which
writes the value to memory, and then checks if it's valid and may return
EINVAL. If a bad value is given, the value displayed when reading
net.ipv6.conf.foo.addr_gen_mode next time will be invalid. In case the
value provided by the user was valid, addrconf_dev_config() won't be
called since idev->cnf.addr_gen_mode has already been updated.

Fix this in the usual way we deal with values that need to be checked
after the proc_do*() helper has returned: define a local ctl_table and
storage, call proc_dointvec() on that temporary area, then check and
store.

addrconf_sysctl_addr_gen_mode() also writes the new value to the global
ipv6_devconf_dflt, when we're writing to some netns's default, so that
new netns will inherit the value that was set by the change occuring in
any netns. That doesn't make any sense, so let's drop this assignment.

Finally, since addr_gen_mode is a __u32, switch to proc_douintvec().

5e9a0fe492 net/sched: flower: Fix null pointer dereference when run tc vlan command
Zahari issued tc vlan command without setting vlan_ethtype, which will
crash kernel. To avoid this, we must check tb[TCA_FLOWER_KEY_VLAN_ETH_TYPE]
is not null before use it.
Also we don't need to dump vlan_ethtype or cvlan_ethtype in this case.

After scrubbing the BPF prog a bit from the noise, turns out it called
bpf_skb_change_head() for the lwt_xmit prog with headroom of 2. Nothing
wrong in that, however, this was run with repeat >> 0 in bpf_prog_test_run_skb()
and the same skb thus keeps changing until the pskb_expand_head() called
from skb_cow() keeps bailing out in atomic alloc context with -ENOMEM.
So upon return we'll basically have 0 headroom left yet blindly do the
__skb_push() of 14 bytes and keep copying data from there in bpf_test_finish()
out of bounds. Fix to check if we have enough headroom and if pskb_expand_head()
fails, bail out with error.

Another bug independent of this fix (but related in triggering above) is
that BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN should be reworked to reset the skb/xdp buffer to
it's original state from input as otherwise repeating the same test in a
loop won't work for benchmarking when underlying input buffer is getting
changed by the prog each time and reused for the next run leading to
unexpected results.

b4c7e2bd2e ARM: 8780/1: ftrace: Only set kernel memory back to read-only after boot
Dynamic ftrace requires modifying the code segments that are usually
set to read-only. To do this, a per arch function is called both before
and after the ftrace modifications are performed. The "before" function
will set kernel code text to read-write to allow for ftrace to make the
modifications, and the "after" function will set the kernel code text
back to "read-only" to keep the kernel code text protected.

The issue happens when dynamic ftrace is tested at boot up. The test is
done before the kernel code text has been set to read-only. But the
"before" and "after" calls are still performed. The "after" call will
change the kernel code text to read-only prematurely, and other boot
code that expects this code to be read-write will fail.

The solution is to add a variable that is set when the kernel code text
is expected to be converted to read-only, and make the ftrace "before"
and "after" calls do nothing if that variable is not yet set. This is
similar to the x86 solution from commit 1623963097 ("ftrace, x86:
make kernel text writable only for conversions").

b65f370d06 bpf: btf: Fix bitfield extraction for big endian
When extracting bitfield from a number, btf_int_bits_seq_show() builds
a mask and accesses least significant byte of the number in a way
specific to little-endian. This patch fixes that by checking endianness
of the machine and then shifting left and right the unneeded bits.

Thanks to Martin Lau for the help in navigating potential pitfalls when
dealing with endianess and for the final solution.

61d769807f bpf: fix availability probing for seg6 helpers
bpf_lwt_seg6_* helpers require CONFIG_IPV6_SEG6_BPF, and currently
return -EOPNOTSUPP to indicate unavailability. This patch forces the
BPF verifier to reject programs using these helpers when
!CONFIG_IPV6_SEG6_BPF, allowing users to more easily probe if they are
available or not.

The next 11 patches extend the abilities of bpftool prog load
beyond the simple cgroup use cases.  Three new parameters are
added:

 - type - allows specifying program type, independent of how
   code sections are named;
 - map  - allows reusing existing maps, instead of creating a new
   map on every program load;
 - dev  - offload/binding to a device.

A number of changes to libbpf is required to accomplish the task.
The section - program type logic mapping is exposed.  We should
probably aim to use the libbpf program section naming everywhere.
For reuse of maps we need to allow users to set FD for bpf map
object in libbpf.

Examples

Load program my_xdp.o and pin it as /sys/fs/bpf/my_xdp, for xdp

26736eb9a4 tools: libbpf: allow map reuse
More advanced applications may want to only replace programs without
destroying associated maps.  Allow libbpf users to achieve that.
Instead of always creating all of the maps at load time, expose to
users an API to reconstruct the map object from already existing
map.

The map parameters are read from the kernel and replace the parameters
of the ELF map.  libbpf does not restrict the map replacement, i.e.
the reused map does not have to be compatible with the ELF map
definition.  We relay on the verifier for checking the compatibility
between maps and programs.  The ELF map definition is completely
overwritten by the information read from the kernel, to make sure
libbpf's view of map object corresponds to the actual map.

reallocarray() is a safer variant of realloc which checks for
multiplication overflow in case of array allocation.  Since it's
not available in Glibc < 2.26 import kernel's overflow.h and
add a static inline implementation when needed.  Use feature
detection to probe for existence of reallocarray.

8d13406c02 tools: libbpf: move library error code into a separate file
libbpf_strerror() depends on XSI-compliant (POSIX) version of
strerror_r(), which prevents us from using GNU-extensions in
libbpf.c, like reallocarray() or dup3().  Move error printing
code into a separate file to allow it to continue using POSIX
strerror_r().

No functional changes.

b60df2a0e1 tools: libbpf: expose the prog type guessing from section name logic
libbpf can guess program type based on ELF section names.  As libbpf
becomes more popular its association between section name strings and
types becomes more of a standard.  Allow libbpf users to use the same
logic for matching strings to types, e.g. when the string originates
from command line.

498e8bf51c sample: vfio-mdev: avoid deadlock in mdev_access()
mdev_access() calls mbochs_get_page() with mdev_state->ops_lock held,
while mbochs_get_page() locks the mutex by itself.
It leads to unavoidable deadlock.

31e33a5b41 net/mlx5: fix uaccess beyond "count" in debugfs read/write handlers
In general, accessing userspace memory beyond the length of the supplied
buffer in VFS read/write handlers can lead to both kernel memory corruption
(via kernel_read()/kernel_write(), which can e.g. be triggered via
sys_splice()) and privilege escalation inside userspace.

In this case, the affected files are in debugfs (and should therefore only
be accessible to root) and check that *pos is zero (which prevents the
sys_splice() trick). Therefore, this is not a security fix, but rather a
small cleanup.

For the read handlers, fix it by using simple_read_from_buffer() instead of
custom logic.
For the write handler, add a check.

93312b6da4 ARC: mm: allow mprotect to make stack mappings executable
mprotect(EXEC) was failing for stack mappings as default vm flags was
missing MAYEXEC.

This was triggered by glibc test suite nptl/tst-execstack testcase

What is surprising is that despite running LTP for years on, we didn't
catch this issue as it lacks a directed test case.

gcc dejagnu tests with nested functions also requiring exec stack work
fine though because they rely on the GNU_STACK segment spit out by
compiler and handled in kernel elf loader.

This glibc case is different as the stack is non exec to begin with and
a dlopen of shared lib with GNU_STACK segment triggers the exec stack
proceedings using a mprotect(PROT_EXEC) which was broken.

565b9937f4 clk: aspeed: Support HPLL strapping on ast2400
The HPLL can be configured through a register (SCU24), however some
platforms chose to configure it through the strapping settings and do
not use the register. This was not noticed as the logic for bit 18 in
SCU24 was confused: set means programmed, but the driver read it as set
means strapped.

This gives us the correct HPLL value on Palmetto systems, from which
most of the peripheral clocks are generated.

2fd8eb4ad8 arm64: neon: Fix function may_use_simd() return error status
It does not matter if the caller of may_use_simd() migrates to
another cpu after the call, but it is still important that the
kernel_neon_busy percpu instance that is read matches the cpu the
task is running on at the time of the read.

This means that raw_cpu_read() is not sufficient.  kernel_neon_busy
may appear true if the caller migrates during the execution of
raw_cpu_read() and the next task to be scheduled in on the initial
cpu calls kernel_neon_begin().

This patch replaces raw_cpu_read() with this_cpu_read() to protect
against this race.

32aa928a7b perf tools: Use python-config --includes rather than --cflags
Builds started failing in Fedora on Python 3.7 with:

    `.gnu.debuglto_.debug_macro' referenced in section
    `.gnu.debuglto_.debug_macro' of
    util/scripting-engines/trace-event-python.o: defined in discarded
    section

In Fedora, Python 3.7 added -flto to the list of --cflags and since it
was only applied to util/scripting-engines/trace-event-python.c and
scripts/python/Perf-Trace-Util/Context.c, linking failed.

It's not the first time the addition of flags has broken builds: commit
c6707fdef7 ("perf tools: Fix up build in hardnened environments")
appears to have fixed a similar problem. "python-config --includes"
provides the proper -I flags and doesn't introduce additional CFLAGS.

The dictionaries are attached to the parameter tuple that steals the
references and takes care of releasing them when appropriate.  The code
should not decrement the reference counts explicitly.  E.g. if libpython
has been built with reference debugging enabled, the superfluous DECREFs
will trigger this error when running perf script:

  Fatal Python error: Objects/tupleobject.c:238 object at
  0x7f10f2041b40 has negative ref count -1
  Aborted (core dumped)

If the reference debugging is not enabled, the superfluous DECREFs might
cause the dict objects to be silently released while they are still in
use. This may trigger various other assertions or just cause perf
crashes and/or weird and unexpected data changes in the stored Python
objects.

386c5680e2 xfrm: use time64_t for in-kernel timestamps
The lifetime managment uses '__u64' timestamps on the user space
interface, but 'unsigned long' for reading the current time in the kernel
with get_seconds().

While this is probably safe beyond y2038, it will still overflow in 2106,
and the get_seconds() call is deprecated because fo that.

This changes the xfrm time handling to use time64_t consistently, along
with reading the time using the safer ktime_get_real_seconds(). It still
suffers from problems that can happen from a concurrent settimeofday()
call or (to a lesser degree) a leap second update, but since the time
stamps are part of the user API, there is nothing we can do to prevent
that.

f6432b9f65 perf llvm-utils: Remove bashism from kernel include fetch script
Like system(), popen() calls /bin/sh, which may/may not be bash.

Script when run on dash and encounters the line, yields:

 exit: Illegal number: -1

checkbashisms report on script content:

 possible bashism (exit|return with negative status code):
 exit -1

Remove the bashism and use the more portable non-zero failure
status code 1.

98c6c8a1d0 perf test shell: Make perf's inet_pton test more portable
Debian based systems such as Ubuntu have dash as their default shell.
Even if the normal or root user's shell is bash, certain scripts still
call /bin/sh, which points to dash, so we fix this perf test by
rewriting it in a more portable way.
