On Haswell, the recommended PCH-connected output is the one driven by DDI
E in FDI mode, used for VGA connection. All the others are handled by the
CPU.
Note that this does not accounts for Haswell/PPT combination yet, so if we
encounter such combination an error message is thrown to indicate that
things could go wrong.

This will throw a BUG() message when an unknown sdvox register is
given to intel_hdmi_init. When this happens, things could going to be pretty
much broken afterwards, so we better detect this as soon as possible.

simplified with a more simple check.
Also, as noticed by Jesse Barnes, it is worth mentioning that plane is an
enum and num_pipe is an int, so we could be more paranoid here about those
validation checks eventually.

With Lynx Point, we need to use SBI to communicate with the display clock
control. This commit adds helper functions to access the registers via
SBI.

Haswell interrupts are mostly similar with Ivy Bridge, so we share same
routines with it.
This patch also simplifies the vblank counter handling for all the Gen5+
architectures.

Haswell has different DIP control registers and offsets which we need to
use for infoframes, which this patch adds.
Note that this does not adds full DIP frames support, but only the basic
functionality necessary for HDMI to work in early enablement.

be added via a patch from Paulo Zanoni later.

Currently we call gen6_enable_rps() (which writes into the per-ring
register mmio space) from intel_modeset_init_hw() which is called before
we initialise the rings. If we defer intel_modeset_init_hw() until
afterwards (in the intel_modeset_gem_init() phase) all is well.

SupherH FSI2 can use special data transfer,
but it depends on CPU-FSI2 connection style.
We can use 16bit data stream mode if it was valid connection,
and it is required for 16bit data DMA transfer / SPDIF sound output.
We can use 24bit data transfer if it was invalid connection.
We can select connection type if CPU is SH7372,
and it is always valid connection if latest SuperH.
This patch adds new bus_option and fsi_bus_setup()
for supporting these feature.

fsi_hw_startup/shutdown() needs the setup of bus width,
but it is impossible to get parameter of snd_pcm_runtime at this timing.
So, these functions are changed so that be called from fsi_dai_trigger().

Presently irq_domain_simple_map() isn't labelled as static, but there's
no definition for it in the public irqdomain header either. At present
all in-tree ->map users have meaningful work to do, and all others are
using irq_domain_simple_ops directly. Make it static for now, as it can
always be exported and added to the public API later.

modules making use of irq domains at the very least need access to the
add/remove/lookup routines, though there's nothing preventing them from
using the remainder of the public API, either.
The current set of exports seem primarily geared at DT-enabled platforms
using DT-backed IRQ domains, where many of the API accesses are hidden
away in OF code. The non-DT cases need to do most of this on their own.

Now that IRQ domains are being used by modules it's necessary to support
removing them, too. This adds a new irq_domain_remove() routine for doing
the bulk of the heavy lifting. It's left as an exercise to the caller to
ensure all mappings have been appropriatey disposed of before attempting
to remove the domain.

It fixes the issue in gpio-generic that commit fb14921 (gpio/mxc: add
missing initialization of basic_mmio_gpio shadow variables) manged to
fix in gpio-mxc driver, so that other platform specific drivers do not
suffer from the same problem over and over again.
Changes since v1:
* Turn the last parameter of bgpio_init() "bool big_endian" into
"unsigned long flags" and give those really quirky hardwares a
chance to tell that reg_set and reg_dir are unreadable.

Occasionally, testing memcg's move_charge_at_immigrate on rc7 shows
a flurry of hundreds of warnings at kernel/res_counter.c:96, where
res_counter_uncharge_locked() does WARN_ON(counter->usage < val).
The first trace of each flurry implicates __mem_cgroup_cancel_charge()
of mc.precharge, and an audit of mc.precharge handling points to
mem_cgroup_move_charge_pte_range()'s THP handling in commit 12724850e8
("memcg: avoid THP split in task migration").
Checking !mc.precharge is good everywhere else, when a single page is to
be charged; but here the "mc.precharge -= HPAGE_PMD_NR" likely to
follow, is liable to result in underflow (a lot can change since the
precharge was estimated).
Simply check against HPAGE_PMD_NR: there's probably a better
alternative, trying precharge for more, splitting if unsuccessful; but
this one-liner is safer for now - no kernel/res_counter.c:96 warnings
seen in 26 hours.

The 3d9545cc375d117554a9b35dfddadf9189c62775(EHCI: maintain the
ehci->command value properly) introducs one command register
configuration lost problem by the below line in ehci_reset:
ehci->command = ehci_readl(ehci, &ehci->regs->command);
After writting RESET into command register, it is restored to
its default value per EHCI spec[1], so the previous configuration
will be lost, and may introduce some problems reported recently:
- imx51 Babbage board detect usb hub failed[2], reported
by Richard Zhao.
- mouse and keyboard hangs in linux-next found by
Dan Carpenter and Greg-KH.
So this patch just removes the line to fix these problems, and
keep configurating command register consistent as before the commit
3d9545cc(EHCI: maintain the ehci->command value properly).

Like the previous fixes for cache hash accesses, a protection over
accesses to the widget connection list array must be provided.
Together with this action, remove snd_hda_get_conn_list() which can be
always race, and replace it with either snd_hda_get_num_conns() or
snd_hda_get_connections() calls.

There are 2 separate loops to resize cpu buffers that are online and
offline. Merge them to make the code look better.
Also change the name from update_completion to update_done to allow
shorter lines.

Palmas has both Switched Mode (SMPS) and Linear (LDO) regulators in it.
This regulator driver allows software control of these regulators.
The regulators available on Palmas series chips vary depending on the muxing.
This is handled automatically in the driver by reading the mux info from OTP.

Attempt to "tidy" up some of the multi IRQ handling and base + IRQ
management. This should keep it limping along without too much hassle,
and no new parts should ever be enabling or using this API anyways.

We don't support the ISA DMA API, so this is only ever misused. The
dma-sh case inadvertently broke the dreamcast case by testing the wrong
variable for the total number of channels, so this fixes that up too.

This has turned in to quite a mess, and with CPUs that care using
dmaengine now it's about time to start cleaning up after the legacy DMA
code. For starters, kill off the stubs for the CPUs that don't do
anything, as well as all of the unused definitions. This leaves us with a
set of IRQs and base addresses we can deal with later.

cpu-sh4a headers take priority over cpu-sh4 ones by virtue of the build

If the allfrag feature has been set on a host route (due to an ICMPv6
Packet Too Big received indicating a MTU of less than 1280), we hit a
very slow behavior in TCP stack, because all big packets are dropped and
only a retransmit timer is able to push one MSS frame every 200 ms.
One way to handle this is to disable GSO on the socket the first time a
super packet is dropped. Adding a specific dst_allfrag() in the fast
path is probably overkill since the dst_allfrag() case almost never
happen.
Result on netperf TCP_STREAM, one flow :
Before : 60 kbit/sec
After : 1.6 Gbit/sec

Update our reference driver to use netdev_alloc_frag() API instead of
the temporary custom allocator I introduced in commit 8d4057a938
(tg3: provide frags as skb head)
This removes the memory leak we had, since we could leak one page at
device dismantle.
