68c9b55dee scsi: lpfc: Fix abort error path for NVMET
rmmod of driver hangs

As driver instances were being unloaded, the NVME target port was unloaded
first. During the unload, the NVME initiator port sent a heartbeat
IO. Because of the target port state, that IO was scheduled for an Abort;
however, that abort subsequently failed. The failure was not cleaned up
properly and lpfc_sli4_xri_exchange_busy_wait silently hung forever.

Clean failed abort properly and make lpfc_sli4_xri_exchange_busy_wait not
hangs silently while waiting for aborts to complete.

System crashes when the lpfc module is unloaded after making the port
offline

The nvme queue pointers were freed during port offline, but were later
accessed in pci remove path.

Validate the pointers in pci remove path before accessing them.

5cc167ddb7 scsi: lpfc: Fix driver not setting dpp bits correctly in doorbell word
Driver is incorrectly formatting a register on new hardware, using a format
for an older chip. This can result in non-deterministic behavior.

Ensure driver is not setting "workqueue index" in the WQ doorbell when
making a non-dpp doorbell write. The field must be zero when non-dpp.

afff0d2321 scsi: lpfc: Add Buffer overflow check, when nvme_info larger than PAGE_SIZE
Kernel crashes during fill_read_buffer when nvme_info sysfs file read.

With multiple NVME targets, approx 40, nvme_info may grow larger than
PAGE_SIZE bytes.  snprintf(buf + len, PAGE_SIZE - len, ...) logic is flawed
as PAGE_SIZE - len can be < 0 and is accepted by snprintf.  This results in
buffer overflow, and is detected with check from dev_attr_show and
fill_read_buffer.

Change to use scnprintf to a tmp array, before calling strlcat to ensure no
buffer overflow over PAGE_SIZE bytes.

Message "6314" created as a new message indicating when there is more nvme
info, but is truncated to fit within PAGE_SIZE bytes.

f075dce66c scsi sg: remove incorrect scsi command checking logic
The SCSI_IOCTL_SEND_COMMAND ioctl has interesting scsi command
"security" checking.

If the file was opened read-only (but only in that case), it will
fetch the first byte of the command from user space, and do
"sg_allow_access()" on it.  That, in turn, will check that
"blk_verify_command()" is ok with that command byte.

If that passes, it will then do call "sg_scsi_ioctl()" to execute
the command.

This is entirely nonsensical for several reasons.

It's nonsensical simply because it's racy: after it copies the command
byte from user mode to check it, user mode could just change the byte
before it is actually submitted later by "sg_scsi_ioctl()".

But it is nonsensical also because "sg_scsi_ioctl()" itself already does
blk_verify_command() on the command properly after it has been copied
from user space.

So it is an incorrect implementation of a pointless check. Remove it.

db0c8d8b03 x86/gpu: reserve ICL's graphics stolen memory
ICL changes the registers and addresses to 64 bits.

I also briefly looked at implementing an u64 version of the PCI config
read functions, but I concluded this wouldn't be trivial, so it's not
worth doing it for a single user that can't have any racing problems
while reading the register in two separate operations.

 - Scrub the development (non-public) changelog (Joonas).
 - Remove the i915.ko bits so this can be easily backported in order
   to properly avoid stolen memory even on machines without i915.ko
   (Joonas).

7cbb540a3a remoteproc: qcom: q6v5-pil: fix modem hang on SDM845 after axis2 clk unvote
GCC_MSS_AXIS2 clock is used for disabling boot IMEM (a part of
AP boot up). With Boot IMEM disable now a part TZ/ATF, AXIS2
clock is no longer required post AP boot up and expected to
remain untouched. However if the clock is turned ON after Q6
is brought out of reset and later turned off, it results in
modem hang. When Q6 attempts a power collapse the internal
handshaking to check if AXIS2 is idle never goes through since
it is turned off preventing the RSC from getting triggered,
leaving modem in a funky state. Hence removing AXIS2 clk
enable/disable from the driver.

ec9c82e03a rseq: uapi: Declare rseq_cs field as union, update includes
Declaring the rseq_cs field as a union between __u64 and two __u32
allows both 32-bit and 64-bit kernels to read the full __u64, and
therefore validate that a 32-bit user-space cleared the upper 32
bits, thus ensuring a consistent behavior between native 32-bit
kernels and 32-bit compat tasks on 64-bit kernels.

Check that the rseq_cs value read is < TASK_SIZE.

The asm/byteorder.h header needs to be included by rseq.h, now
that it is not using linux/types_32_64.h anymore.

Considering that only __32 and __u64 types are declared in linux/rseq.h,
the linux/types.h header should always be included for both kernel and
user-space code: including stdint.h is just for u64 and u32, which are
not used in this header at all.

Use copy_from_user()/clear_user() to interact with a 64-bit field,
because arm32 does not implement 64-bit __get_user, and ppc32 does not
64-bit get_user. Considering that the rseq_cs pointer does not need to
be loaded/stored with single-copy atomicity from the kernel anymore, we
can simply use copy_from_user()/clear_user().

0fb9a1abc8 rseq: uapi: Update uapi comments
Update rseq uapi header comments to reflect that user-space need to do
thread-local loads/stores from/to the struct rseq fields.

As a consequence of this added requirement, the kernel does not need
to perform loads/stores with single-copy atomicity.

Update the comment associated to the "flags" fields to describe
more accurately that it's only useful to facilitate single-stepping
through rseq critical sections with debuggers.

8f28177014 rseq: Use get_user/put_user rather than __get_user/__put_user
__get_user()/__put_user() is used to read values for address ranges that
were already checked with access_ok() on rseq registration.

It has been recognized that __get_user/__put_user are optimizing the
wrong thing. Replace them by get_user/put_user across rseq instead.

If those end up showing up in benchmarks, the proper approach would be to
use user_access_begin() / unsafe_{get,put}_user() / user_access_end()
anyway.

e96d71359e rseq: Use __u64 for rseq_cs fields, validate user inputs
Change the rseq ABI so rseq_cs start_ip, post_commit_offset and abort_ip
fields are seen as 64-bit fields by both 32-bit and 64-bit kernels rather
that ignoring the 32 upper bits on 32-bit kernels. This ensures we have a
consistent behavior for a 32-bit binary executed on 32-bit kernels and in
compat mode on 64-bit kernels.

Validating the value of abort_ip field to be below TASK_SIZE ensures the
kernel don't return to an invalid address when returning to userspace
after an abort. I don't fully trust each architecture code to consistently
deal with invalid return addresses.

Validating the value of the start_ip and post_commit_offset fields
prevents overflow on arithmetic performed on those values, used to
check whether abort_ip is within the rseq critical section.

If validation fails, the process is killed with a segmentation fault.

When the signature encountered before abort_ip does not match the expected
signature, return -EINVAL rather than -EPERM to be consistent with other
input validation return codes from rseq_get_rseq_cs().

5e18e41297 clocksource: arm_arch_timer: Set arch_mem_timer cpumask to cpu_possible_mask
Currently, arch_mem_timer cpumask is set to cpu_all_mask which should be
fine. However, cpu_possible_mask is more accurate and if there are other
clockevent source in the system which are set to cpu_possible_mask, then
having cpu_all_mask may result in issue.

E.g. on a platform with arm,sp804 timer with rating 300 and
cpu_possible_mask and this arch_mem_timer timer with rating 400 and
cpu_all_mask, tick_check_preferred may choose both preferred as the
cpumasks are not equal though they must be.

This issue was root caused incorrectly initially and a fix was merged as
commit 1332a90558 ("tick: Prefer a lower rating device only if it's CPU
local device").

5b5ccbc2b0 Revert "tick: Prefer a lower rating device only if it's CPU local device"
This reverts commit 1332a90558.

The original issue was not because of incorrect checking of cpumask for
both new and old tick device. It was incorrectly analysed was due to the
misunderstanding of the comment and misinterpretation of the return value
from tick_check_preferred. The main issue is with the clockevent driver
that sets the cpumask to cpu_all_mask instead of cpu_possible_mask.

b061c7a513 timekeeping: Update multiplier when NTP frequency is set directly
When the NTP frequency is set directly from userspace using the
ADJ_FREQUENCY or ADJ_TICK timex mode, immediately update the
timekeeper's multiplier instead of waiting for the next tick.

This removes a hidden non-deterministic delay in setting of the
frequency and allows an extremely tight control of the system clock
with update rates close to or even exceeding the kernel HZ.

The update is limited to archs using modern timekeeping
(!ARCH_USES_GETTIMEOFFSET).

1416270f4a selftest: timers: Tweak raw_skew to SKIP when ADJ_OFFSET/other clock adjustments are in progress
In the past we've warned when ADJ_OFFSET was in progress, usually
caused by ntpd or some other time adjusting daemon running in non
steady sate, which can cause the skew calculations to be
incorrect.

Thus, this patch checks to see if the clock was being adjusted
when we fail so that we don't cause false negatives.

89c815ef07 drm/ttm: Introduce ttm_bo_get() and ttm_bo_put() for ref counting
The TTM buffer-object interface provides ttm_bo_reference() and
ttm_bo_unref() for managing reference counts. Replacing them with
ttm_bo_get() and ttm_bo_put() aligns the API with conventions used
throughout the Linux kernel.

The implementation of ttm_bo_unref() clears the supplied pointer
to NULL. This leads to workarounds where the caller saves the
pointer's value before de-referencing the BO. ttm_bo_put() does
not clear the supplied pointer.
