75236f5f22 KVM: SEV: Return appropriate error codes if SEV-ES scratch setup fails
Return appropriate error codes if setting up the GHCB scratch area for an
SEV-ES guest fails.  In particular, returning -EINVAL instead of -ENOMEM
when allocating the kernel buffer could be confusing as userspace would
likely suspect a guest issue.

afdb4a5b1d parisc: Mark cr16 CPU clocksource unstable on all SMP machines
In commit c8c3735997 ("parisc: Enhance detection of synchronous cr16
clocksources") I assumed that CPUs on the same physical core are syncronous.
While booting up the kernel on two different C8000 machines, one with a
dual-core PA8800 and one with a dual-core PA8900 CPU, this turned out to be
wrong. The symptom was that I saw a jump in the internal clocks printed to the
syslog and strange overall behaviour.  On machines which have 4 cores (2
dual-cores) the problem isn't visible, because the current logic already marked
the cr16 clocksource unstable in this case.

This patch now marks the cr16 interval timers unstable if we have more than one
CPU in the system, and it fixes this issue.

TS pin. axp20x IIO driver now report the voltage of this pin via

4da5f2d6f2 iio:adc:axp20x: add support for NTC thermistor
Most AXPxxx-based reference designs place a 10k NTC thermistor on a
TS pin. When appropriately configured, AXP PMICs will inject fixed
current (80uA by default) into TS pin and measure the voltage across a
thermistor. The PMIC itself will by default compare this voltage with
predefined thresholds  and disable battery charging whenever
the battery is too hot or too cold.

Alternatively, the TS pin can be configured as general-purpose
ADC input. This mode is not supported by the driver.

This patch allows reading the voltage on the TS pin. It can be then
either processed by userspace or used by kernel consumer like hwmon
ntc thermistor driver.

35619155d0 iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: add dts property to disable sensor-hub
Introduce the capability to disable sensorhub through a device-tree
property since there are some configurations where users want to
explicitly disable sensor-hub auto-probing at bootstrap.
A typical configuration is when the sensorhub clock/data lines are connected
to a pull-up resistor since no slave sensors are connected to the i2c master.
If SDO/SA0 line is connected to the same pull-up resistor, when the driver
tries to probe slave devices connected on sensor-hub, it will force SDO/SA0
line to low, modifying the device i2c address.

315c4f8848 sched/uclamp: Fix rq->uclamp_max not set on first enqueue
Commit d81ae8aac8 ("sched/uclamp: Fix initialization of struct
uclamp_rq") introduced a bug where uclamp_max of the rq is not reset to
match the woken up task's uclamp_max when the rq is idle.

The code was relying on rq->uclamp_max initialized to zero, so on first
enqueue

was actually resetting it. But since commit d81ae8aac8 changed the
default to 1024, this no longer works. And since rq->uclamp_flags is
also initialized to 0, neither above code path nor uclamp_idle_reset()
update the rq->uclamp_max on first wake up from idle.

This is only visible from first wake up(s) until the first dequeue to
idle after enabling the static key. And it only matters if the
uclamp_max of this task is < 1024 since only then its uclamp_max will be
effectively ignored.

Fix it by properly initializing rq->uclamp_flags = UCLAMP_FLAG_IDLE to
ensure uclamp_idle_reset() is called which then will update the rq
uclamp_max value as expected.

2be6d4d16a net: cdc_ncm: Allow for dwNtbOutMaxSize to be unset or zero
Currently, due to the sequential use of min_t() and clamp_t() macros,
in cdc_ncm_check_tx_max(), if dwNtbOutMaxSize is not set, the logic
sets tx_max to 0.  This is then used to allocate the data area of the
SKB requested later in cdc_ncm_fill_tx_frame().

This does not cause an issue presently because when memory is
allocated during initialisation phase of SKB creation, more memory
(512b) is allocated than is required for the SKB headers alone (320b),
leaving some space (512b - 320b = 192b) for CDC data (172b).

However, if more elements (for example 3 x u64 = [24b]) were added to
one of the SKB header structs, say 'struct skb_shared_info',
increasing its original size (320b [320b aligned]) to something larger
(344b [384b aligned]), then suddenly the CDC data (172b) no longer
fits in the spare SKB data area (512b - 384b = 128b).

Consequently the SKB bounds checking semantics fails and panics:

By overriding the max value with the default CDC_NCM_NTB_MAX_SIZE_TX

8e227b198a qede: validate non LSO skb length
Although it is unlikely that stack could transmit a non LSO
skb with length > MTU, however in some cases or environment such
occurrences actually resulted into firmware asserts due to packet
length being greater than the max supported by the device (~9700B).

This patch adds the safeguard for such odd cases to avoid firmware
asserts.

    which enabled the TX traffic actually (as this was probably
    day1 issue which was discovered recently by some customer

2fa7d94afc bpf: Fix the off-by-two error in range markings
The first commit cited below attempts to fix the off-by-one error that
appeared in some comparisons with an open range. Due to this error,
arithmetically equivalent pieces of code could get different verdicts
from the verifier, for example (pseudocode):

  // 1. Passes the verifier:
  if (data + 8 > data_end)
      return early
  read *(u64 *)data, i.e. [data; data+7]

  // 2. Rejected by the verifier (should still pass):
  if (data + 7 >= data_end)
      return early
  read *(u64 *)data, i.e. [data; data+7]

The attempted fix, however, shifts the range by one in a wrong
direction, so the bug not only remains, but also such piece of code
starts failing in the verifier:

  // 3. Rejected by the verifier, but the check is stricter than in #1.
  if (data + 8 >= data_end)
      return early
  read *(u64 *)data, i.e. [data; data+7]

The change performed by that fix converted an off-by-one bug into
off-by-two. The second commit cited below added the BPF selftests
written to ensure than code chunks like #3 are rejected, however,
they should be accepted.

This commit fixes the off-by-two error by adjusting new_range in the
right direction and fixes the tests by changing the range into the
one that should actually fail.

8581fd402a treewide: Add missing includes masked by cgroup -> bpf dependency
cgroup.h (therefore swap.h, therefore half of the universe)
includes bpf.h which in turn includes module.h and slab.h.
Since we're about to get rid of that dependency we need
to clean things up.

v2: drop the cpu.h include from cacheinfo.h, it's not necessary
and it makes riscv sensitive to ordering of include files.

bbb9db5e2a cifs: avoid use of dstaddr as key for fscache client cookie
server->dstaddr can change when the DNS mapping for the
server hostname changes. But conn_id is a u64 counter
that is incremented each time a new TCP connection
is setup. So use only that as a key.

2adc82006b cifs: add server conn_id to fscache client cookie
The fscache client cookie uses the server address
(and port) as the cookie key. This is a problem when
nosharesock is used. Two different connections will
use duplicate cookies. Avoid this by adding
server->conn_id to the key, so that it's guaranteed
that cookie will not be duplicated.

Also, for secondary channels of a session, copy the
fscache pointer from the primary channel. The primary
channel is guaranteed not to go away as long as secondary
channels are in use.  Also addresses minor problem found
by kernel test robot.

In the native case, PER_CPU_VAR(cpu_tss_rw + TSS_sp0) is the
trampoline stack. But XEN pv doesn't use trampoline stack, so
PER_CPU_VAR(cpu_tss_rw + TSS_sp0) is also the kernel stack.

In that case, source and destination stacks are identical, which means
that reusing swapgs_restore_regs_and_return_to_usermode() in XEN pv
would cause %rsp to move up to the top of the kernel stack and leave the
IRET frame below %rsp.

This is dangerous as it can be corrupted if #NMI / #MC hit as either of
these events occurring in the middle of the stack pushing would clobber
data on the (original) stack.

And, with  XEN pv, swapgs_restore_regs_and_return_to_usermode() pushing
the IRET frame on to the original address is useless and error-prone
when there is any future attempt to modify the code.

1367afaa2e x86/entry: Use the correct fence macro after swapgs in kernel CR3
The commit

  c758907004 ("x86/entry/64: Remove unneeded kernel CR3 switching")

removed a CR3 write in the faulting path of load_gs_index().

But the path's FENCE_SWAPGS_USER_ENTRY has no fence operation if PTI is
enabled, see spectre_v1_select_mitigation().

Rather, it depended on the serializing CR3 write of SWITCH_TO_KERNEL_CR3
and since it got removed, add a FENCE_SWAPGS_KERNEL_ENTRY call to make
sure speculation is blocked.

054aa8d439 fget: check that the fd still exists after getting a ref to it
Jann Horn points out that there is another possible race wrt Unix domain
socket garbage collection, somewhat reminiscent of the one fixed in
commit cbcf01128d ("af_unix: fix garbage collect vs MSG_PEEK").

See the extended comment about the garbage collection requirements added
to unix_peek_fds() by that commit for details.

The race comes from how we can locklessly look up a file descriptor just
as it is in the process of being closed, and with the right artificial
timing (Jann added a few strategic 'mdelay(500)' calls to do that), the
Unix domain socket garbage collector could see the reference count
decrement of the close() happen before fget() took its reference to the
file and the file was attached onto a new file descriptor.

This is all (intentionally) correct on the 'struct file *' side, with
RCU lookups and lockless reference counting very much part of the
design.  Getting that reference count out of order isn't a problem per
se.

But the garbage collector can get confused by seeing this situation of
having seen a file not having any remaining external references and then
seeing it being attached to an fd.

In commit cbcf01128d ("af_unix: fix garbage collect vs MSG_PEEK") the
fix was to serialize the file descriptor install with the garbage
collector by taking and releasing the unix_gc_lock.

That's not really an option here, but since this all happens when we are
in the process of looking up a file descriptor, we can instead simply
just re-check that the file hasn't been closed in the meantime, and just
re-do the lookup if we raced with a concurrent close() of the same file
descriptor.

c07e45553d x86/entry: Add a fence for kernel entry SWAPGS in paranoid_entry()
Commit

  18ec54fdd6 ("x86/speculation: Prepare entry code for Spectre v1 swapgs mitigations")

added FENCE_SWAPGS_{KERNEL|USER}_ENTRY for conditional SWAPGS. In
paranoid_entry(), it uses only FENCE_SWAPGS_KERNEL_ENTRY for both
branches. This is because the fence is required for both cases since the
CR3 write is conditional even when PTI is enabled.

But

  96b2371413 ("x86/entry/64: Switch CR3 before SWAPGS in paranoid entry")

changed the order of SWAPGS and the CR3 write. And it missed the needed
FENCE_SWAPGS_KERNEL_ENTRY for the user gsbase case.

Add it back by changing the branches so that FENCE_SWAPGS_KERNEL_ENTRY
can cover both branches.

b54472a02c dt-bindings: media: nxp,imx7-mipi-csi2: Drop bad if/then schema
The if/then schema for 'data-lanes' doesn't work as 'compatible' is at a
different level than 'data-lanes'. To make it work, the if/then schema
would have to be moved to the top level and then whole hierarchy of
nodes down to 'data-lanes' created. I don't think it is worth the
complexity to do that, so let's just drop it.

The error in this schema is masked by a fixup in the tools causing the
'allOf' to get overwritten. Removing the fixup as part of moving to
json-schema draft 2019-09 revealed the issue:

de4adddcbc of/irq: Add a quirk for controllers with their own definition of interrupt-map
Since commit 0412841812 ("of/irq: Allow matching of an interrupt-map
local to an interrupt controller"), a handful of interrupt controllers
have stopped working correctly. This is due to the DT exposing a
non-sensical interrupt-map property, and their drivers relying on the
kernel ignoring this property.

Since we cannot realistically fix this terrible behaviour, add a quirk
for the limited set of devices that have implemented this monster,
and document that this is a pretty bad practice.

1d5379d047 x86/sev: Fix SEV-ES INS/OUTS instructions for word, dword, and qword
Properly type the operands being passed to __put_user()/__get_user().
Otherwise, these routines truncate data for dependent instructions
(e.g., INSW) and only read/write one byte.

This has been tested by sending a string with REP OUTSW to a port and
then reading it back in with REP INSW on the same port.

Previous behavior was to only send and receive the first char of the
size. For example, word operations for "abcd" would only read/write
"ac". With change, the full string is now written and read back.

70602b37c4 driver: soc: xilinx: register for power events in zynqmp power driver
With Xilinx Event Management driver, all types of events like power and
error gets handled from single place as part of event management driver.

So power events(SUSPEND_POWER_REQUEST and SUSPEND_SYSTEM_SHUTDOWN)
also gets handled by event management driver instead of zynqmp_power
driver.

zynqmp-power driver use event management driver and provide callback
function for Suspend and shutdown handler, which will be called by event
management driver when respective event is arrived.

If event management driver is not available than use ipi-mailbox rx channel
or IPI interrupt IRQ handler for power events (suspend/shutdown) same as
current zynqmp-power driver.

c7fdb2404f drivers: soc: xilinx: add xilinx event management driver
Xilinx event management driver provides an interface to subscribe or
unsubscribe for the event/callback supported by firmware. An agent can use
this driver to register for Error Event, Device Event and Suspend callback.
This driver only allows one agent per event to do registration. Driver will
return an error in case of multiple registration for the same event.

This driver gets notification from firmware through TF-A as SGI. During
initialization, event manager driver register handler for SGI used for
notification. It also provides SGI number info to TF-A by using
IOCTL_REGISTER_SGI call to TF-A.

After receiving notification from firmware, the driver makes an SMC call to
TF-A to get IPI data. From the IPI data provided by TF-A, event manager
identified the cause of event and forward that event/callback notification
to the respective subscribed driver. After this, in case of Error Event,
driver performs unregistration as firmware expecting from agent to do
re-registration if the agent wants to get notified on the second occurrence
of an error event.

Add new IOCTL id IOCTL_REGISTER_SGI = 25 which is used to register SGI on
TF-A.

Older firmware doesn't have all required support for event handling which
is required by the event manager driver. So add check for the register
notifier version in the event manager driver.

Xilinx event management driver provides support to subscribe for multiple
error events with the use of Event Mask in a single call of
xlnx_register_event(). Agent driver can provide 'Event' parameter value as
ORed of multiple event masks to register single callback for multiple
events. For example, to register callback for event=0x1 and event=0x2 for
the given node, agent can provide event=0x3 (0x1 | 0x2). It is not possible
to register multiple events for different nodes in a single registration
call.

Also provide support to receive multiple error events as in single
notification from firmware and then forward it to subscribed drivers via
registered callback one by one.
