This basically came from the need to be able to boot 32-bit Atom SMP
guests on an AMD host, i.e. a host which doesn't support MOVBE. As a
matter of fact, qemu has since recently received MOVBE support but we
cannot share that with kvm emulation and thus we have to do this in the
host. We're waay faster in kvm anyway. :-)
So, we piggyback on the #UD path and emulate the MOVBE functionality.
With it, an 8-core SMP guest boots in under 6 seconds.
Also, requesting MOVBE emulation needs to happen explicitly to work,
i.e. qemu -cpu n270,+movbe...
Just FYI, a fairly straight-forward boot of a MOVBE-enabled 3.9-rc6+
kernel in kvm executes MOVBE ~60K times.

Add a kvm ioctl which states which system functionality kvm emulates.
The format used is that of CPUID and we return the corresponding CPUID
bits set for which we do emulate functionality.
Make sure ->padding is being passed on clean from userspace so that we
can use it for something in the future, after the ioctl gets cast in
stone.
s/kvm_dev_ioctl_get_supported_cpuid/kvm_dev_ioctl_get_cpuid/ while at
it.

This adds internal PCI controller driver for R-Car Gen2 SoC. There are
three PCI controllers available with only a single EHCI/OHCI device
built-in on each PCI bus. This gives us three USB channels. Channel 0 is
shared with the USBHS device, while channel 2 is shared with the USBSS.
The PCI controllers do not support I/O port space mapping, and it is not
needed here.

Both POSIX.1-2008 and Linux Programmer's Manual have a dedicated return
error code for a case, when a file doesn't support mmap(), it's ENODEV.
This change replaces overloaded EINVAL with ENODEV in a situation
described above for sysfs binary files.

If the user chooses peripheral mode for this controller, the vbus

The AT91 PMC (Power Management Controller) provides a USB clock used by
the different USB controllers (ehci, ohci and udc).
The atmel-ehci driver must configure the usb clock rate to 48Mhz in order
to get a fully functionnal USB host controller.
This configuration was formely done in mach-at91/clock.c, but will be
bypassed when moving to common clk framework.
This patch adds support for usb clock retrieval and configuration only if
CCF is enabled (CONFIG_COMMON_CLK).

This patch fixes the bug in reset_store caused by accessing NULL pointer.
The bdev gets its value from bdget_disk() which could fail when memory
pressure is severe and hence can return NULL because allocation of
inode in bdget could fail.
Hence, this patch introduces a check for bdev to prevent reference to a
NULL pointer in the later part of the code. It also removes unnecessary
check of bdev for fsync_bdev().

Don't cast to long pointers blindly just for using find_first_bit()
and co. This is certainly not portable at all.
Reimplement the code with ffs() and fls() instead. This is a slight

The i2c-mux driver requires that the chan_id parameter
passed to the i2c_add_mux_adapter() function is equal
to the reg value for that adapter:

The i2c-mux-gpio driver uses an internal logical index
for chan_id when calling i2c_add_mux_adapter() instead
of using the reg value.
Because of this, there will problems in selecting the
right adapter when the i2c-mux-gpio's index into
mux->data.values doesn't match the reg value.
An example of such a case:
mux->data.values = { 1, 0 }
For chan_id = 0, i2c-mux will bind the adapter to the
of_node with reg = <0>, but when it will call the
select() callback with chan_id set to 0, the i2c-mux-gpio
will use it as an index into mux->data.values and it will
actually select the bus with reg = <1>.

Some gpio chips may have get/set operations that
can sleep. gpio_set_value() only works for chips
which do not sleep, for the others we will get a
kernel warning. Using gpio_set_value_cansleep()
will work for both chips that do sleep and those
who don't.

When using FITRIM ioctl on a file system without journal it will
only trim the block group once, no matter how many times you invoke
FITRIM ioctl and how many block you release from the block group.
It is because we only clear EXT4_GROUP_INFO_WAS_TRIMMED_BIT in journal
callback. Fix this by clearing the bit in no journal mode as well.

The GIC interrupt offsets are calculated based on the value of NR_CPUS.
However, this is wrong because NR_CPUS may or may not contain the real
number of the actual cpus present in the system. We fix that by using
the 'nr_cpu_ids' variable which contains the real number of cpus in
the system. Previously, an MT core (eg with 8 VPEs) will fail to boot if
NR_CPUS was > 8 with the following errors:

Commit 2dc4128 (ACPI / hotplug / PCI: Avoid doing too much for
spurious notifies) changed the enable_slot() to check return value of
pci_scan_slot() and if it is zero return early from the function. It
means that there were no new devices in this particular slot.
However, if a device appeared deeper in the hierarchy the code now
ignores it causing things like Thunderbolt chaining fail to recognize
new devices.
The problem with Alex Williamson's machine was solved with commit
a47d8c8 (ACPI / hotplug / PCI: Avoid parent bus rescans on spurious
device checks) and hence we should be able to restore the original
functionality that we always rescan on bus check notification.
On a device check notification we still check what acpiphp_rescan_slot()
returns and on zero bail out early.

that triggers problems during resume from suspend to RAM on Paul Bolle's
32-bit x86 machines. Paul says:
Ever since I tried running (release candidates of) v3.11 on the two
working i686s I still have lying around I ran into issues on resuming
from suspend. Reverting 9745cdb36d (select: use freezable blocking
call) resolves those issues.
Resuming from suspend on i686 on (release candidates of) v3.11 and
later triggers issues like:
traps: systemd[1] general protection ip:b738e490 sp:bf882fc0 error:0 in libc-2.16.so[b731c000+1b0000]
and
traps: rtkit-daemon[552] general protection ip:804d6e5 sp:b6cb32f0 error:0 in rtkit-daemon[8048000+d000]
Once I hit the systemd error I can only get out of the mess that the
system is at that point by power cycling it.
Since we are reverting another freezer-related change causing similar
problems to happen, this one should be reverted as well.
