Currently iocharset=utf8 mount option is broken. To use UTF-8 as iocharset,
it is required to use utf8 mount option.
Fix iocharset=utf8 mount option to use be equivalent to the utf8 mount
option.
If UTF-8 as iocharset is used then s_nls_iocharset is set to NULL. So
simplify code around, remove s_utf8 field as to distinguish between UTF-8
and non-UTF-8 it is needed just to check if s_nls_iocharset is set to NULL
or not.

CPC and CDMM addresses are adjustable and we should tell kernel
how to place them in devicetree.
Note that MACH_PISTACHIO code hardcoded CDMM base to 0x1bdd0000,
however it will collide with GIC address range. As we don't have
any CDMM device on this platform it won't be a problem.
I found another spare range, 0x1bdf0000~0x1be00000 to place CDMM
instead.

Marduk is based on IMG pistachio SoC. The platform is using

These PWMs can be used for fan or LED backlight control. Add the device
tree nodes for all existing controllers found on Tegra186 SoCs. None of
these are enabled by default, which is left for the board DTS files to
do when necessary.

Blob resources without the cross device flag don't have a uuid to share
with other virtio devices. When exporting such blobs, set uuid_state to
STATE_ERR so that virtgpu_virtio_get_uuid doesn't hang.

in copy_process(): non root users but with capability CAP_SYS_RESOURCE
or CAP_SYS_ADMIN will clean PF_NPROC_EXCEEDED flag even
rlimit(RLIMIT_NPROC) exceeds. Add the same capability check logic here.
Align the permission checks in copy_process() and set_user(). In
copy_process() CAP_SYS_RESOURCE or CAP_SYS_ADMIN capable users will be
able to circumvent and clear the PF_NPROC_EXCEEDED flag whereas they
aren't able to the same in set_user(). There's no obvious logic to this
and trying to unearth the reason in the thread didn't go anywhere.
The gist seems to be that this code wants to make sure that a program
can't successfully exec if it has gone through a set*id() transition
while exceeding its RLIMIT_NPROC.
A capable but non-INIT_USER caller getting PF_NPROC_EXCEEDED set during
a set*id() transition wouldn't be able to exec right away if they still
exceed their RLIMIT_NPROC at the time of exec. So their exec would fail
in fs/exec.c:

On PowerVM, CPU-less nodes can be populated with hot-plugged CPUs at
runtime. Today, the IPI is not created for such nodes, and hot-plugged
CPUs use a bogus IPI, which leads to soft lockups.
We can not directly allocate and request the IPI on demand because
bringup_up() is called under the IRQ sparse lock. The alternative is
to allocate the IPIs for all possible nodes at startup and to request
the mapping on demand when the first CPU of a node is brought up.

single_step_exception() is called by emulate_single_step() which
is called from (at least) alignment exception() handler and
program_check_exception() handler.
Redefine it as a regular __single_step_exception() which is called
by both single_step_exception() handler and emulate_single_step()
function.

Since delays when starting jack detection after initialization
have been reduced/removed, it is necessary to add back in an extra

Dolphin devices have CS8409 HDA Bridge connected to two CS42L42 codecs.
Codec 1 supports Headphone and Headset Mic.
Codec 2 supports Line Out.

Only disable I2C clock 25 ms after not being used.
The current implementation enables and disables the I2C clock for each
I2C transaction. Each enable/disable call requires two verb transactions.
This means each I2C transaction requires a total of four verb transactions
to enable and disable the clock.
However, if there are multiple consecutive I2C transactions, it is not
necessary to enable and disable the clock each time, instead it is more
efficient to enable the clock for the first transaction, and disable it
after the final transaction, which would improve performance.
This is achieved by using a timeout which disables the clock if no request
to enable the clock has occurred for 25 ms.

OXFW 971 has no function to use the value in syt field of received
isochronous packet for playback timing generation. In kernel prepatch for
v5.14, ALSA OXFW driver got change to send NO_INFO value in the field
instead of actual timing value. The change brings Apogee Duet FireWire to
generate no playback sound, while output meter moves.
As long as I investigate, _any_ value in the syt field takes the device to
generate sound. It's reasonable to think that the device just ignores data
blocks in packet with NO_INFO value in its syt field for audio data
processing.
This commit adds a new flag for the quirk to fix regression.
